Skincare is one of the few Black Friday categories where a discount can save you money all year. The cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen you use every day run out every few weeks, so buying them for less in November adds up. It is also the category where it is easiest to waste money: a jar of something new that breaks you out, or five serums that oxidize before you finish the first one.

This guide covers the Black Friday 2026 dates in the US, the skincare deals worth buying, the ones to skip, how to check whether a skincare deal is real, and skincare products that are already reduced at US retailers.

When is Black Friday 2026?

Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, the day after Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26. Cyber Monday is on Monday, November 30.

Most US beauty retailers no longer wait for the Friday. Early Black Friday sales often start in the first weeks of November, and many skincare deals run through Cyber Monday. That gives you two advantages:

  • You can buy staples early if they are already at a good price, before popular sizes sell out.
  • You can compare prices across several weeks instead of deciding in a rush on the day.

Black Friday skincare deals worth buying

The rule is simple: the best skincare deals are products you already know your skin likes, in sizes you will finish before they expire.

Daily sunscreen

Sunscreen is the product most people should use every morning and the one they run out of fastest. If you have a broad-spectrum sunscreen you like wearing, Black Friday is a good time to buy a second tube. In the US, sunscreens are regulated as over-the-counter drugs, and most carry an expiration date, so check it before you stock up. For ideas, see our guide to the best sunscreen for everyday wear.

Your cleanser and moisturizer

A gentle cleanser and a moisturizer you repurchase regularly are the safest skincare deals of all. Value sizes and twin packs are often better value per ounce than the standard size, as long as you will use them up. If your skin gets dry in winter, this is also the moment to buy a richer cream; our winter skin care routine explains what to look for.

Serums and treatments you already use

Retinol, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and exfoliating acids can be expensive, so a discount on the one you already use is worth having. If you have never used retinol, do not start with the strongest formula just because it is on sale: our retinol for beginners guide explains how to start slowly. For a full routine, see our anti-aging skincare routine.

Skincare devices and tools

Cleansing brushes, LED masks and other devices last much longer than creams, which makes them a better candidate for a bigger Black Friday purchase. Before you buy, check the warranty, the return policy, whether the model is current or a previous version being cleared out, and what the brand actually claims the device does.

Gifts you would buy anyway

If skincare is on your holiday gift list, Black Friday prices are often lower than in December, and you avoid shipping delays. Check that the return window runs past the holidays in case the gift is not right.

Skincare “deals” that are rarely worth it

  • Gift sets full of minis you will not finish. They look like good value, but the price per ounce is often higher than a full-size product.
  • Stockpiling vitamin C serums. Many vitamin C formulas lose their effectiveness once opened, often turning darker. Buy one at a time.
  • Products you have never tried, especially strong actives. A product your skin does not tolerate is not a bargain at any price. Patch test first.
  • Unusually cheap prices from unfamiliar marketplace sellers. Skincare sold far below the usual price by unknown third-party sellers can be counterfeit, expired or badly stored. Buy from the brand or from authorized retailers.
  • Bundles built around one product you want. If the other items in the bundle will sit in a drawer, compare the price with buying the one product alone.

Skincare deals already live

Some of the staples in this guide are already reduced at US retailers. The prices below were checked on November 2, 2026, and exclude shipping. Prices and stock change quickly before Black Friday, so check the final price at checkout.

Product Retailer Price checked Reduction shown Why it is on the list
TULA Protect + Glow Daily Sunscreen Gel SPF 30 (1.7 oz) Kohl’s $22.80 40% A lightweight daily sunscreen gel: the product to stock up on first.
Shiseido Ultimate & Urban Mineral Sunscreen Bundle Shiseido $55.25 15% Two mineral sunscreens in one bundle, bought from the brand.
Bobbi Brown Extra Cleansing Balm (3.38 oz) Bobbi Brown $47.60 30% A cleansing balm that removes sunscreen and makeup, good for dry skin in winter.
TULA The Cult Classic Purifying Face Cleanser (6.7 oz) Kohl’s $20.40 40% A gentle everyday gel cleanser in a full size.
Biossance Squalane + Omega Repair Cream, jumbo size Biossance $85.00 29% A rich moisturizer in a value size, if you already know it suits you.
Paula’s Choice CLINICAL 1% Retinol Treatment (1 oz) Kohl’s $48.75 25% A strong retinol: only for skin already used to retinol.
Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum Biossance $51.00 25% A vitamin C serum: buy one, not several.
TULA 24-7 Moisture Hydrating Day & Night Cream (3.4 oz) Kohl’s $52.80 40% The larger size of an everyday moisturizer, better value per ounce.

We will update this list with the real Black Friday offers in the week before November 27.

How to check if a skincare deal is real

Woman comparing skincare products at her laptop
  1. Compare with the usual price. Look at the price over the past few weeks, not just the “was” price shown next to the discount. A product that was marked up in October and reduced in November is not a real deal.
  2. Compare the price per ounce. A bigger discount on a smaller size can still cost more per ounce than the regular size.
  3. Check the size and the formula. Make sure the discounted product is the same size and version you usually buy, not an older formula or a travel size.
  4. Check dates. Look for the expiration date on sunscreens and treatments, and for the period-after-opening symbol (an open jar with a number of months) on other products.
  5. Check the return policy. Return rules for opened skincare vary a lot between US retailers. Read them before you buy, especially for products you have not used before.
  6. Add shipping. A free-shipping threshold can make a small order more expensive than it looks.

Black Friday skincare shopping list by skin type

  • Dry skin: a creamy cleanser, a rich moisturizer with ceramides, and a hydrating serum. Winter is when you will use them most.
  • Oily and combination skin: a gentle gel cleanser, a lightweight moisturizer, and an oil-free sunscreen you are happy to wear daily.
  • Sensitive skin: fragrance-free basics you already know work for you. This is not the time to try several new products at once.
  • Mature skin: the retinol or peptide serum you already tolerate, plus a good moisturizer and daily sunscreen.

Your Black Friday skincare checklist

  • Make a list of the skincare products you will run out of in the next three to six months.
  • Note the current price of each one now, so you can compare in November.
  • Decide on a budget before the sales start.
  • Buy from the brand or an authorized retailer.
  • Check sizes, dates and return policies before you check out.

FAQ

When do Black Friday skincare deals start?

Many US retailers start early Black Friday offers in early or mid-November. The main sales run from Thanksgiving, November 26, to Cyber Monday, November 30, 2026.

Is skincare cheaper on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

It depends on the retailer. Some keep the same offers from Black Friday through Cyber Monday, others change them. If a product you use is already at a good price, there is little benefit in waiting.

What skincare should I buy on Black Friday?

The products you already use and run out of regularly: sunscreen, cleanser, moisturizer and serums your skin tolerates. Devices with a good warranty are also worth considering.

Does skincare expire?

Yes. Sunscreens and many treatments carry an expiration date, and other products often show how many months they last once opened. Do not buy more than you can use in that time.

Can you return opened skincare in the US?

Some retailers accept returns of opened skincare and others do not. There is no general rule, so check each retailer’s return policy before you buy.
